What transmission would YOU recommend?

I have to admit I disagree with the, apparent, FF consensus.
Even with an ABA or 9A the 4K, 2H, etc will make the car much
spunkier. Perhaps with a taller 5th gear to lower revs on the highway.
As far as a turbo application, the FF gear sets with a 3.67 final
drive is a good combination. Even with relatively low boost you want
the tallest first (which means tallest FD) you can get since lack of
traction is a significant problem and the turbo can easily carry the
tallest gears available for the 020 gearbox.
just my <.02
