First of all: I can't get my hood open!

If my hood sticks I hold the release and hit the corner of the hood. It
usually works. If you have an assistant you can have them push down the
hood slightly while you pull the release.

Pull off the grille - you should find the hood release cable towards the
top
as you look up into the grille opening to the passenger side of the
radiator.  Get some needlenose pliers and pull on the cable.

I had the same issue - aligning the hood properly solved the problem

When I pop the hood, the drivers side releases, but the passenger side 
won't.  It always was sticky, I'd have to pull the handle and pound the 
hood to get it to release, but now it won't.  I need to look at my 
alternator/belt, so I need the hood open.  Any tips/tricks?  I don't 
know if I can get to the cable from under the car or not yet....
