starting points for jetta problems aka I hate cars

Bingo!!! I hate cars!
I got under the hood today just to see what I could see and check the gas in
the jetta thinking maybe it was bad gas...and what to my wondering eye would
appear. I broken wire connected to the intake manifold where lot's of brown
wires are grounded. Didn't think much of it since my wiring in the Jetta
was FUBAR by the previous owner. Well the car was idling bad and missing
and when I touched the broken ground to it's mate...Bingo! idling just fine.
Well I pulled the wire replaced the end piece, started it up and ran it down
the road!!! Problem fixed.

WTF? This little wire caused all the problems! Second ground problem I've
ran into this month that has caused me to pull my hair out!!!(hey wait a
minute I ain't got no hair)

Ok the offending wire was a brown/blue ground wire. Only one I've found so
far in the Bentleys is a connection to the "Pressure Gradient Valve" What
does that do?

Evidently if that's it, it can cause the car to run like KaKah!

I'll look further and see if there is more Brown/Blue wires in the diagram.
It connected to ground on the intake manifold and ran into a cluster, but
didn't have time to chase it down today.
