My mounts were fine, it just needed some aligning at the back, and that
cured the axle issue, but at the front, it corrected itself after I did the
clutch, and gave the engine a firm shoving around. It's the 2 1/4 TT
exhaust. At the back, I think one of the hangers had worked its way out of
the mount IIRC, this was several years back. The reason I posted that is
that on initial inspection, it all seemed to have lots of space, but as you
load things up, it moved enough to get noisy. Hard to simulate when you're
under the car looking for the problem.
