Some POS broke into my Scirocco last night

I looked at a Corrado at a small used dealer a few years back, and it
was unlocked (and this was at 9:00 at night). Called the next day to let
them know, and they told me that they keep all their cars unlocked for
the same reason, if someone want in, they WILL get in, usually through a
window. They make sure the cars are empty of valuables, etc, and leave
the doors open so they don't have to replace glass. Seems sorta stupid,
but very logical at the same time.
Sorry your car got violated, I've been broken into probably half a dozen
times, and it just sucks.

I've had my car rummaged through once and i'm sure they would have broken the window had the door been locked. i know the method seems crazy but it has always worked for me.
