Strange noise



I agree with Roger. Most likely outer (wheel side) CV joint. Look and see if 
your CV boot has a hole or is shreaded. The joint will be dry when it is 
suppose to be covered in grease and the noise you hear is metal grinding on 
metal. Easy fix if you have the right tools to remove the drive line.
