Strange noise

Can someone tell me what would be causing a slapping sound when I start out and turn.  It seem to mainly occur when going slow.  If I punch it, it seems to stop.  Is it the front wheel bearings?  Or the front brake shoes/calipers?

Please Help, it's very embarrassing and noisy, but atleast I'm happy driving it.
