Possible DD Scirocco

I'm really excited and you're the only bunch of crazies who will understand.

It's been over a decade since I had a Scirocco as a DD and I'm racking up a
lot of miles (and gas charges) on my current DD (2001 4-Runner), mostly
heading out in the evening with a load of drums to gigs 30 or more miles
from home.

So, I was thinking this morning: "could I possibly fit my stuff in a
Scirocco?"  I pulled my truck up to my 16V (which has the back seat removed
right now) and the stuff fit like a glove.  I wouldn't need the rear seat
for DD use, so I could leave it out.  Luckily, I'm been toting a small drum
kit these days!

I think I located a cheap 8V that I hope to buy this week.  I have some
parts from the "old days," lots of extras from the 16V, a stack of manuals
and the familiarity needed to maintain this car...I'm excited!  Ahh, to
drive a VW again.....

Just wanted to share with you guys/gals.
