transmission number

To quote our good friends over at parts4vws, a quaife is "The Holy Grail of
hook-up".
It's a limited slip diff. It keeps power distribution even between the two
wheels. The only thing it can't deal with is having one wheel with zero
resistance, but that could be overcome by using a peloquinn(another brand of
diff, does the same thing) and installing their spring preload kit that
always keeps some amount of resistance on both wheels regardless of their
immediate relationship with the ground.

A very worth while investment IMO(even though I don't have one yet).
