90mm vs 100mm axle question



As pointed out, the hub (the rotating part that is pressed into the
bearing) is the same for either axle.
The hub carrier though was changed sometime in 86 (ETKA says mid 84
actually!) as Allyn pointed out to clear the larger CV diameter.
OTOH, I've heard that some people are able to use 100mm CV's with the
earlier hub carrier. I couldn't on my late 84, had to change out the
carrier.
But, apparently there are a few lucky people out there (or somebody
already changed their hub carrier for them ;^)
