90mm vs 100mm axle question



Going larger only is an issue if the hubs are pre-86 or somewhere around
there. VW moved to the larger diameter casting for the hub carrier before
they moved the whole line over to the larger diameter cv's.

Also, since the carrier does nothing but hold the bearing in place, as long
as there is no interference when you install the axles, there is no other
difference as far as bearing physics goes, so you can swap 90/100 at will
with no ill effects.
