How to get Mk1 fenders off?



Daun,
 
I got those. There are three at the rear of the fender and one at the bottom that were removed. It is that nasty (but has it's purpose) undercoating or sealant in between the fender panel and body that it keeping the fender glued :)

Dumb question, but you did remove the bolts from there too,
right?  I've seen on some cars where they were  covered in
that undercoating to the point of being invisible.  And
don't forget the one on the bottom of the fender going into
the floor.
