Now that is interesting. ~$90 for lifetime uber-coolant .. just seems like
a good investment all round, if it does what they say it does.

I'm curious, in order to drain every last drop of the old mix, did you have
to do anything more than the usual, i.e. drain the radiator & expansion
tank, and blow out the heater core? They are pretty emphatic about getting
all of the water out of the system first.

Leo,
It is a bit of a pain to 'cleanse the system'... What we did was drain
all we could, lifting hoses and all. Then, we -lightly- blew in compressed
air (with the T-stat removed). Next, fill the sucker up. Depending on the
vehicle, as this stuff heats up, you will occassionally burp steam since
this runs hotter that AF/H20. That is why they are adamant, you could get
hurt if you do not know what you are doing. IIRC, they have a flush they
sell which is easier to put in at first, and makes it easier to get the rest
of the water out. I have never used it...

BTW, I would recommend not using this if you have an original fibrous head
gasket. In my experience, this stuff creeps much better that AF/H20 (since
it is pure oil), and it may compromise the gasket. Same goes for old hoses
or the pump. Before I put it in, I replaced all the hoses. Not good
enough. The pump went within a month (I knew it was weak), and then about 4
months later the H/G went cabluie! Also, one other word of warning. This
stuff, while not explosive, if it is hot it will burn. So when and if you
lose a H/G, you will not notice any performance drop, just shiz coming out
the tailpipe...

All and all, I like the stuff and I think it is worth it. However, any
strength can inturn become a weakness...

LMK if you would care to hear any more of my rambling on this stuff...
