Could a badly placed clutch....



If the clutch is shuddering then it has oil or some crap on it and needs to be replaced again.
The crankshaft thrust bearing can fail if the clutch is adjusted too tight and is always putting 
pressure on it.
I'd take it back to whoever repaired it as soon as possible.
