Hello list, I'm back from Germany.
I am very sorry I cannot send you some bratwurst and schnitzel in package...
we have a very great butcher here in town ... the schnitzel and bratwurst
there taste really very good!
If you will visit germany you can visit us and see my sciroccos of course,
too :-)
Here in Germany some days you see a scirocco and then weeks you do not see
one ... last day I saw one other then my was when John was here ...
Last time I visited our second hand parts dealer he told me that here in our
location are not really many sciroccos left ... he meant only three
sciroccos are left ... I told him to visit me and see my scirocco kollection
... ;-)

Next time you go back, go to Kitzengen and see "Dracula's Grave". Or was it
Leighton? Anyway... it's a cemetery that supposedly has Dracula's grave in
it and right across the street is a tower with a ball ornament on top and
cross shaped windows. The tower APPEARS to lean toward the cemetery.
Legend has it that at night, the light from the crosses shines directly on
the grave. and one day, the tower will fall over, the ball will come off
the top of the tower and roll across Dracula's grave and he will rise again.
Freaky ain't it! LOL! I never got to stop there. I really wish I had
found a way.
And could you do me a favor? When you do go back, have a REAL bratwurst and
some schnitzel for me, please?(not that yeager schnitzel stuff, yuck! Hate
mushrooms!) I miss that great bratwurst. No sauerkraut though. LOL! I
even hate the smell of that stuff!
I would love to go back over there and visit. I lived there three years.
Funny thing is that I don't recall seeing a lot of rocco's. Could be where
I was and even when. I was over there 86-89. Maybe they hadn't gotten as
popular yet when I was there even though some were still new. LOL! Sure
wish I had gotten my hands on one though!!!!!!

Well, I have been off the list for about 3 weeks, two of which I spent in
Germany.
First of all, if you have never been there, it is a beautiful country and
you should
try to see it someday. Unfortunately, due to some flight
delay/cancellations I
got there later than I planned, so I was not able to go to Wolfsburg. But,
I plan on
going back in a couple of years so I will see it then as that trip will be
to the northern
part of Germany. I saw quite a few Sciroccos, on the road and Patrick
Schiller's. I spent
the day with the Schiller family, drinking Krombacher and eating grilled
sausages and potatos.
It was absolutely great to spend the day with a German family. I saw
Patrick's Scirocco collection-
'92 GTII, Bieber convertible, '81 MkII(carb'd- rare), Scala, and his
Scirocco from Eastern Germany(forget
the year, but it was carb'ed too). Road around in his Seat and on his VW
powered Trike. Other than
that the people were very nice, the drivers were fast and disciplined, the
food was great and the beer was
too.
It appears that I won't be going to Cincy this year as I seem to have too
much going on right now.
