Some Scirocco 16V Questions

i would go with exhaust and then cams if you're so inclined. anything more 
than that would push you into mega-squirt and mega-spark land.

yes, a competent shop can correct the issue. call them ahead of time and 
make sure they are equipped to do a 4-wheel alignment, and ask them if they 
have rear shims. specifically for vw. make them look it up in the alignment 
systems computer and physically make sure they have at least 2 shims on 
hand. the shims go for about $10-$15 each, and they are adjustable discs 
which give up to 1.5 degree adjustment, so in any normal case only one 
should be needed per rear wheel (if at all). also, if you are running 
wider-than-stock rubber, you should go closer to 0 on the numbers (as 
opposed to the ~1 degree stock numbers for toe and camber).
