Acid Dipping Engines



If there are any aluminum parts in the block, they WILL be adversely 
affected by the strong alkaline solution. This includes, obviously, aluminum 
heads.
Purple Power, Formula 406, etc. (in fact ALL soaps) are alkaline, but not 
strong enough to hurt aluminum (unless the Al is kept in the solution for 
days).
In that respect you are quite right.
