RE:Clearcoat blending, insurance says it's totaled, need help/advice





I don't know for sure about cars the age of our Rocs,
but newer ones definately can, and it's hard to  impossible
to spot the difference.  My understanding is it comes
down to the application of clearcoat(I beliee they tint it)
and not the actual color underneath so much.  But I'm
sure there is someone on here more knowledgable about
this.  FWIW, my wife's winter beater truck had a fender
replaced and there is not a noticeable difference.

2.5 hours of labor to repair(?) and blend the fenders. I don't really buy this one since the car is clearcoated, and my understanding is that you can't blend a car with clearcoat?
