Re: That Scirocco feeling wuz Julie's

Tell me about it..... I have one of the most grossly underpowered Sciroccos on this list....Poor "rodolfo" I hope he does not hear my typing....But really An automatic 1.7ltr rocco....by now most people would have puked that tranny out of there and done the convertion to a 5spd manual and dropped some peepier engine in.....But what do I do???? Fall all over for the stupid piece of metal, wires and vacuum lines. No, no I can not bare the idea of getting in there and changing that car to something that it is not....So yeah the slowest of the rocc's has to be mine and it is a great car for what it can not do, but for what it is.

Julie Do what you have to do girl because at the end it is about that nutty feeling we all get when we look at those cars. The air that fills our lungs when we take that amorous look at our rides and the pride that we feel when we turn those wrenches and accomplish our medial tasks...

You freaking crazy people......Im glad you are around and that Im not the only nut in the bunch

Regards,
El Tony

To me its about the age-old idea of making something yours by toiling on it. This used to be one way of determining land ownership. If you had worked the land, then it was yours. One thing I secretly dislike about new cars is that they don't need me. That and they all weight 50% more than our cars do and other stuff like that. I know I'm supposed to be able to walk away from my Scirocco if circumstances make it more financially reasonably, or something like that. Somehow that's just not how folks like us are wired, I suppose.

Subject: Julie's update

I would like to thank all those who offered help, machine guns, parts, high explosive (thanks Jim) and words of advice.

Thank you.

My girl friend (female friend only) told me just to take the money and run. The car was a piece of s**t, not worth the time or the effort. I have known her for a long time. but this really hurt.

How do you explain people like you? I stumbled across the list by accident, and never been happier than when knowing people like you.
If it were a toss up between the list and Jennifer? Sorry Jen....

Draco will rise from the ashes!
