Don't know about writing the cost of gas off on your taxes although I very much doubt it.

As far as state taxes, MD, VA, DC have an agreement. Doesn't matter which state/district you work
in. Taxes will be withheld/paid to the state/district that you LIVE in.

Hi guys.  Wanted to ask a tax question.  can I write off gas on my
taxes if I travel from MD to VA everyday to work?  also if my job is
in VA do I pay MD and VA state taxes or just VA taxes?
