engine swap to a 1.6L



Well, I'm not sure where the real truth lies here. I suspect that the 8V got the 100mm axles at
about the same time as the 16V came out. You know, commonality of parts and all that rot!
My 84.5 Scirocco came from the factory with 90mm axles. (and a 4K tranny, not 9A)
My nephew's 86 had 100mm axles. (and originally a 9A tranny)
