Calling all 2L 8Ver's!!!!!!

Well, I do need to do this on a budget. I just found out the guy was
planning on swapping this into and 86 rocco(that's kinda freaky eh?) but
ended up selling the car. He's got the adapter ring...well here was his most
recent reply:

"I had planned on doing this swap into a scirocco but ended up selling the
car.I do have the techtonics distributor adapter bushing,as well as an extra
scirocco ignition distributor.I also have a new set of main and rod
bearings.Any or all of these items can be included, depending on purchase
price. Also have a full gasket set,new timing belt tensioner, fresh solid
lifter head, dual outlet manifold and downpipe, etc. I would not hesitate to
drop this block in a car and use it as is.I did plan to re-build it since it
was out,but that is not required. As for the longer downpipe,I had planed to
try this:Dual outlet manifold,install longer studs,fabricate a spacer
between the downpipe and manifold, then use the stock dual outlet downpipe.

I use only 93-94 octance fuel in my car anyways, and I'd be happy with 6-8*
of advance as well(that's all I ever keep mine at right now). What head
gasket would I be using? What about the whole warm up regulator thing? Is
there a provision for it on the block? Will I need a different oil pump, or
will this one be alright? I'd like to figure out a complete list of things
I'll need to do this swap, right down to head bolts, head gasket, any seals
and stuff. So all the help I can get would be greatly appreciated.
thanx muchly
-George
(I'll catch you and your new cam yet Cathy!!!)

this came at a good time). Will the JH distributor work? or will I need some
sort of adapter or some hybrid thing? Will all coolant/oil pasages line up,
or will I need to modify something?
