Had to take it to the grocery store 5-ish miles away (though through 
high traffic areas) to get the cake and ice because my Mom decided it 
would be a good idea to park where it would block the driveway. Rather 
than move her Camry, I decided that I would give the old beast a workout 
given the fact that I would have to drive it all this week because my 
mother-in-law will be using my wife's car and wife gets the M5...

Four blocks from the store, the battery light comes on and the voltmeter 
starts dropping. "Not now, please??!" I say. Though I seemed mired in 
traffic, I managed to get to the store parking lot and found that my 
alternator tensioner bolt to the cylinder head SHEARED off. Begged one 
of the clerks to give me a coat hanger so I could MacGuyver it and 
thankfully, I made it home with the cake and 5 bags of ice....why of all 
times does this car pick this one to make me sweat it out?? So, guess 
what I'm doing tomorrow?? :)
