Fwd: chronic intermediate shaft seal failure

Upon further inspection, it does appear to be leaking from where the seal contacts the shaft. I've also noticed there is bit of play (wiggle) in the intermediate shaft. Have the bearings gone bad causing it to leak at the seal?
Thanks again...

>a few weeks ago, the little keyway on the intermediate gear shaft sheared off and took ou the seal with it, producing a good size oil leak. Well I replaced the seal, put everything back together again, and it still leaked at the exact same spot. So, I replaced the seal again today, and it is still leaking in the same spot.
