I agree with everything you said, except this.  JE and Wiseco are in
business to make money.  Total Seal, or any other gapless piston ring is
more expensive than the norm, therefore it is unlikely they would spend
extra money, and keep the price the same.  They may or may not think they
are the bomb, but because they do not sell them with their pistons is not
enough to draw that conclusion...  IMO...
