Distributor shaft

Maybe if I DON'T specify OT someone will answer. ;^}

But yes this is OT pertaining to an A2. Here's the story:

The whole pressure plate thing was me being super anal about my 1st VW
engine swap (GX for GX) and I didn't hook up the clutch cable so I didn't
have any frame of reference (the clutch lever did not go all the way over
the big allen screw but just midway, like it's supposed to before it
engages) so I wasted a day pulling the tranny, buying a new 200mm
Sachs clutch kit for $94.00 that I didn't need (immediately that is), and
then dropping the engine to mate the tranny back up.

Woo Hoo. What fun.

BUT......I have overcome that and now can start it (REALLY loud as I
haven't bothered to re-attatch the toilet bowl) but it runs like crap as
it sounds as if only 2 cylinders are firing.

Does this mean my distributor shaft is 180 degrees from the way it should
be? I know someone else just awsked this earlier this month but it's too
new to be in the archives and I have deleted it from my mbox.

Please help? Please? Por favor?

I just need to get this running so I can start getting the Roc ready for
Cincy!!!

Looking @ my poor neglected Lexicar,

Tim
