Wierd ? - can an ABA conversion DP be used on normal heightmotor??

I'm actually referring to the opposite configuration - that's why I labeled
the email "wierd ?".

I currently have a 1.7 installed, but will ultimately be dropping in an ABA
later this summer after it gets painted.

The thing is I yanked the original dual DP for my mk2 that I'm selling and
since I was going to buy a ABA longer DP anyway for the conversion, I
figured that if installed the longer DP now for temporary purposes, I could
actually drive my mk1 for a little while...
