That 26k Mk2 on Ebay - SOLD for $8,300!!!

I abandoned early Pontiac V8s, several Corvairs, new-mint 65 and 69 GTOs
and Porsches, then watched them cross the curve and begin to appreciate.
Yes, they are only worth what anyone is willing to pay for them.
Ironically, the people who love them the most sometimes (but not always)
discover they have enough disposable money to maybe treat themselves to an
honest low mileage example and enjoy it rather than spending their lives
under the car.
The most I ever paid for any vehicle was just over $34K for a new full up
99 Suburban. I don't have that money now, but four 87-88 Roccos with only
1-2 years miles on them would have been a better investment, because they
are not likely to depreciate henceforth, at least not based on years.

Perhaps the Scirocco's time has finally come to cross the hump.
