Motronic-- Why do I need the Fuel Injector Adapters?

Motronic injectors have a different thread pitch than CIS-E injectors... to 
use your original fuel lines from the driver side mounted fuel distributor 
you need to use adapters to screw the Motronic injectors onto the CIS-E 
lines...
