Motronic Conversion - Fuel Pumps/Filter



 
I am looking for input regarding the fuel delivery options for a
Motronic conversion.  First, the donor car, a 90 Passat, has the fuel
filter, fuel reservoir and fuel accumulator at the rear of the car by
the main fuel pump.  This system then feeds the fuel distributor in the
engine compartment.
 
Has anyone used this set up on their conversions?  If so, did you keep
it at the back of the car?
 
If not, what did you use?
