grinding/scraping sound going around corners

Before everyone heads out to Cincy, maybe I can get a quick blurb of 
advice on an unpleasent noise on my '86 16V;  a grinding/scraping noise 
as I turn corners, I can't tell quite if it's front left wheel or front 
right wheel....  It matters not whether the car in in gear or coasting, 
but it quiets up once I straighten the wheel and resume forward motion.

Wheel Bearing?  Inner CV?  Outer CV?  All wheel bearings except front 
driver's side have been replaced in the last couple years, but I never 
changed any CVs on this car in the 3 years I've had it.
