volvo 242 dl compatability

What year is it?  It might contain the same CIS system as in our
Scirocco's and may contain the infamous cast aluminum bottom half of the
airbox.  You could sell that on eBay for over $100.00 if you get lucky.
If it has that I would be interested in the brackets that hold it in
place and the intake hose and filter for it.  At the least some detailed
pictures of it installed.

I have a friend who has one of these. It doesn't work and he is 
unwilling to put any more money into it, so he is hauling it to the junk

yard. Is there anything in it that is compatible with a 1980 scirocco 
(or any of your cars for that matter)? If so (and the part is easy 
enough to remove) then I might be able to grab it.
