Is there a way to pressurize Oil system?

No problem Rick...

I haven't seen a 16V tool, but a good friend of mine, Dan AKA BFDEIHL,
made me one, using a 16V oil pump drive gear (the gear that connects the
intermediate shaft to the oil pump).

You could also disconnect the timing belt, and run the intermediate
pulley...

Peter thanks for the info.
Just out of curiosity, is there a similar tool for the 16V motor?
Thanks, Rick.

For the price, it's hardly worth making one up...

I have a low mileage 8v motor that has been sitting for a long time. I
want to pressurize the oil journals before I try to turn the motor. I
have heard that there is a way to turn the oil pump via the distributor
hole and pressurize the system. What is needed to do this?
Thanks, Rick K.
