Last year I bought (and used) a set of floor pans from JCWhitney. Now I
haven't bought too many things from them except for beetle or motorcycle stuff, but
these floors were good! They were actually listed as rabbit pans and are
slighlty different in terms of where the preformed lines are in the metal, but
close enough, especially on smaller areas. I had the same kind of rust you do, I
cut out the worst area and applied the complete POR15 to top and bottom, but
masked the outer edge where good contact was needed to weld, I cut the pan to
fit only the size I needed,(allowing overlap at welds) and seam sealed around
the outer edge of the floor. When that was done I painted top/bottom with
rustoleum and then painted the inside floor body color. It takes time for the DIYer
but it is solid and looks good. I think the floors were on sale at the time
for $44.00 each! Even if you do the sheet metal mini-fix, I still recommend the
POR15, it fills tiny holes and actually strengthens what you DO have. Michael
