Need tips for removing locksets from housings

This is for the ignition and trunk locksets - the door handles are easy.
 
Is there any trick to getting the lock cylinder of each's housing?
 
I've got the ignition out and not seeing an intuitive solution. I know the trunk is similar.
 
Anyone got some tips?
