[TECH] Tailight Bulbs

I haven't seen a copy of ETKA that has designated other than group 8
(body) listings for Mk1 Sciroccos. However, both 5 and 6 in my
experience have been reliable at identifying Scirocco specific parts
under model notes, or chassis numbers. It's been my experience that if
it's unique to the Scirocco chassis, it will be found under RAG (if you're
looking for 75-80) or JEG (if you're looking for 81-early 84) - As I
understand it this is the way ETKA was designed, and the information is
going to be as (in)accurate as any other 20+ year-old information in
ETKA... :) Of course, those with 1974 Sciroccos are out in the cold as
far as I can tell...

Mind you, I don't deal that much in Mk1 parts and it's pretty much a moot
point as they're all NLA from the dealer anyways. :)

My main point is that dealers who state that they don't have information
prior to 1984 for the Scirocco do NOT know how to use ETKA/EPC (or their
microfiche.) The reality is most of these outfits are too busy dealing in
TDI MAF's and mudflaps for A4's to care about $0.35 parts for a 25 year
old car.
