16v barely running, anyone got some advise?MORE ONTHISSUBJECT...



If you're engine is going super rich then I would think it would either be the cold start injector
opening (for whatever reason) or your engine temp sensor failing and telling the ECU your engine is
cold when if fact it is at operating temp.
Air/fuel ratios can be very rich and the engine will still run. So, if it's rich enough to actually
kill the engine then there is a shitload of gas being injected and I doubt that a failed O2 sensor
can cause that.
Next time it does it I'd unplug the cold start injector and see if that helps.
