16v head problem

I am assuming you're talking about a threaded-type insert that is
unscrewing itself with the spark plug inside rather than the spark plug
unscrewing from the insert?

As a short-term solution I would use green loctite thread retainer
(Loctite 640, IIRC?) - it's high temp and holds like a mofo .. you'll
probably never get it off. I used it to make a 27mm wrench for the timing
hole/selector shaft covers on the tranny. Even with an impact wrench I
couldn't break the green stuff loose. Impressive!

Make sure you leave it plenty of time to dry/harden, though. And don't use
too much of it.. Bah, just follow the directions!

..

In the long term, I'd finish porting the head and use that.
