Winshield Seal Replacement

Ah, yes! Windshield installation!
I use a small diameter rope wrapped around the gasket.
Generally it seems best to tuck the bottom in first and work around to the top. The last two times
I've put one in a MK II it worked better to get the top started first and pull the bottom in last.
Maybe I just got tired of fighting the rope trying to keep it in place starting at the bottom ;^)

Anyway, the best approach is to make sure that as you pull an edge of the gasket in that you push
and shove on the glass, in a very tender manner, to help the gasket and the glass get seated into
the correct position so that as you work around the glass the last part of the gasket can be pulled
into position fairly easily. And last, but not least, never push on a corner of the glass. I've also
broken a corner off!
