reverse issue with an 8v tranny

The only thing I might suggest is to do it again but try to roll the car a small amount to make
sure that the teeth faces (what's left of them, probably) are not hitting one another.  Reverse
has to slide bewteen mating gears on both the main and pinion shafts, so moving the car might help
it out.

Just for the hell of it, if your tranny has a two-prong screw-in backup light switch, you might
try yanking that.  I'm thinking that it might be interfering.  A SWAG, but WTH.


Unfortunately, reverse requires a case separation, and as Lars metioned that's a PITA if you
haven't done it.  I can fix you up tranny wise or with reverse gear if you need one.
