'88 16v parts to an '81

My personal opinion is that I have plenty of road feel with power steering. I've had my car on
Summit Point Raceway and the power steering was not a detriment.
As far as autocross is concerned Neal Tovsen went to a lot of trouble to prove to the SCCA that
power steering was legal on his MK 1 cause with the power he had and the size and stickyness of his
tires he NEEDED it!
But, to each his own.
On a non-opinion note; components for power steering are Godawful expensive. A rebuilt rack will
cost over $400 with core, one of the hoses is ~$200. IIRC the total for mostly new or rebuilt parts
was ~$800. Better find a parts car in good shape!
