That is exactly what I tried. And it spews gas all over the place. Like I
said, I didn't know, so I cut out a large (10") section of the fuel line.
The preferred technique, apparently, is to just cut at the leak, and slip
the rubber line over the cut.
So I p43ar I have ruined it completely.
