Labor Costs...

I was miles away from home recently and needed some emergency repair in
Syracuse, NY. I limped into the vw dealer, and guess what the hourly
labour rate was...US$100/hr . Can anyone top that ripoff?

Most local shops here in CO charge $60 and 1 that I have a good relationship charges in beer for simple things and beer/ about $20 per hr for more time consuming, but still fairly easy things. So far I haven't been to a shop for a big ticket thing. Shops back home in NY averaged $45 an hr.
