Oil and filters... [UPDATE]

Okey. Got home and drove it up on the ramps. Got underneath. Saw some dripping but couldn't figure out where it was coming from as it was dripping from bottom of oil pan. (BTW, if head gasket blows, then you get coolant/oil mixture, correct? This is straight oil, so no blown gasket. Phew!) So I started it back up and crawled underneath again. This time, there's a stream about a quarter inch thick pouring down. I grab the flashlight and move the hoses and there it is, streaming down from above the filter housing.

What's the culprit? Gasket? Hole? Hose? It was too tight for me to really get a look at where it was actually coming from. But, if you laid down under your car with your feet pointing straight out, I can tell you it's coming from the backside (faces oilpan), about a quarter of the way from the right (passenger side). Any ideas? I'm going to consult the Bentley after sending this, but would appreciate any and all educated guesses and non-guesses ("I know exactly what it is" type answers).

Please get back ASAP as I need this thing road worthy ASAP. I drove the POS today and can do it again, however, it's not insured and I don't like taking chances with DC's traffic. Also the wipers on the POS don't work and if it rains, I'll have more issues.

Thanks,
Mike

Works fine if youhave strng hands, which I don't, so I use the dreaded
rubber strap wrench. Seems to work fine. But there are SO many other place
for oil to come out. Cathy
