PF vs. RD (heads only) Now with content!

As far as the heads are concerned I don't believe it makes any difference.
I believe the injector inserts from the PF head will fit in the RD head and
that the RD head has the threaded holes for bolting down the fuel rail. so
you could run digi with the RD head if that was the deciding issue.
Both heads have the same valve sizes so there isn't much to choose there
power wise.
OTOH there is no reason the RD head and engine wouldn't run just fine using
whatever CIS you now have if that made it cheaper and easier.
So, choose whatever head is easiest now. You can go to digi anytime in the
future with either head.
Note: as a positive check buy an 037 133 555A injector insert and make sure
it will screw into the RD head if you buy the RD head and think you might go
to digi in the future.

change my mind all the time and so now, after this whole thread on the RD
digi/not digi thing I may change my mind again. I'm trying to decide
wheither I want the PF or the RD head for my swap. It will most likely being
going on a 1.8L bored to a 2L. Originally was an RD block, but has custom
pistons and stuff so I don't think it matters.

unique. Plus it opens up the possibilities of boost later on. Also, the PF
motor puts out slightly more HP than the RD but I don't know if this is due
to the head or bottom end. The RD is CIS-E, which would still require some
rewiring, although not as much I don't think as I have CIS now. It would
also be considerably cheaper. So, opinions? Should I take the leap to digi
and possibly squeek out a couple more HP or is it just not worth it and I
should stick with the local, cheap RD head?
