adjusting air/fuel mixture

So what are you guys using to measure the air/fuel ratio? I'm just curious.
Since it is a very sensitive adjustment (a slight turn and your not gonna
pass emissions) you will need an air/fuel meter or gas analyzer. Also
remember that messing with that adjustment is not going to change the way it
runs only the way it idles. Lastly, too lean a mixture and your gonna start
glowing your valves and other parts causing holes to be burnt into them.
Usually this is caused by a serious problem in the fuel system and I haven't
heard of anyone burning a valve because they adjusted the sensor plate too
lean but on the other hand I'm not saying it can't happen.

Just wanted to let you know as the a/f ratio should be the last thing you
adjust with a gas analyzer after you have adjusted (correctly) the throttle
body (butterfly settings), idle, and timing (of course knowing that the tune
parts are new or good). HTH!!
