[ot]Airing out the dirty laundry

I've never heard of anyone having problems with Dirk, never even heard him
speek crossly to or about anyone. As I have no dealings with Dirk I think
my opinion would be of value since it is rather nuetral.

If Dirk went on vacation then this should of been handled before hand or he
should have told Mark that he was going on vacation and that they would
settle things after he got back. Even though he may not of made any money
on the deal (or maybe he did) Mark is a customer and he should treat him as
such.

On the other hand, I wouldn't expect Dirk to pay for anything that you have
done on your own whether or not you had to get your friends part back to
him. Before you started the project you should have checked the parts and
even when you found that you had the wrong parts you should have just
swapped back to the US lights and not borrowed anything from your friend
putting you in a position where you thought you had to go out and buy a
replacement ASAP. $50 is a good percentage of the actual price and I could
see where if Dirk were to hand this money over (when he may have been able
to just ship you the right part) probably means that he would loose money on
an already non-moneymaking deal.

My 2 pfennig worth

Dave
