adjusting air/fuel mixture

I was trying to adjust my air/fuel mix with the 3mm allen key today.  I was
just wondering why the car wanted to stall every time I pushede down on the
allen key?  Does anybody know why this would happen?  THe engine is a JH
w/CIS.
