car accident



Well, my wife was in an accident with her 89' cabby a few months ago and
from that I prollie have bad news for you.

These cars are what's called Uni-bodies.  Basicly, there isn't a true frame
to speak of, the entire car shell is the frame.  While it makes it fairly
stong in some cases, in others it allows for nasty week points.

Now from what you discribed, it sounds like you might have bent the body a
bit on the side that took the hit.  Check very carefully around the strut
tower mounts in the engine bay and see if you can detect any twisting,
buckling or anthing that doesn't look right.  Also look underneath the
entire body and see if you notice any differences from one side to the other
as they should be almost perfectly symetrical.

Along with the strut tower itself, was anything else replaced as in the
wheel hub or anything in that area?
