I called the guys at German Transaxle in Bend OR., and the informed me that
the 020 is actually stronger than the 02A...  Mostly because the 02A has a
weak synchro design...  Anyways, he recommended replacing the rivets in the
differential for the bolt kit, replacing the synchors, seals, swapping 5tth
to a highway gear type 5th, and some Redline, and a sportier clutch, and I
would be good for about 225hp...  I too am aiming for 200hp at the wheels...

Just wondering since i have been delayed on my engine build. How can i
increase the strength of my 020 tranny? I was going to put a phantom grip in
it along with the bolt kit. I would like to hit 200HP maybe more. Any
suggestions. I notice a race spool gearbox from techtonics, is this a
stronger setup? Not sure of the bonus of it....
